Florence Griffith-Joyner's husband Al Joyner has bought back her precious memorabilia from 'Storage Wars' star Rene Nezhoda.

The memorabilia includes her legendary Olympic jacket and 1988 autographed track shoes, which she wore when she swept through the 100m and 200m dash at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.

What happened?

Al Joyner was surprised when Rene Nezhoda returned the invaluable memorabilia that once belonged to his late wife.

Nezhoda had purchased Flo-Jo's precious memorabilia eight years ago after he acquired the track and field icon's storage locker from a friend in the San Diego area.

The repossessed storage unit cost Nezhoda several thousand dollars.

Why it matters for Florence Griffith-Joyner

The athlete won three gold medals in 1988 for her stunning performance, and the memorabilia is a tangible memory of her historic legacy.

Flo-Jo's legendary Olympic jacket and 1988 autographed track shoes are now back in the possession of her husband.

Rare photos and autographed Flo-Jo Barbie dolls were also discovered in the lost locker.

What comes next?

Al Joyner called it "a blessing in disguise" and was happy to have Flo-Jo's weight belt back in his possession.

He helped the star design the belt's bright colors, and it holds special meaning for him.

Upon Flo-Jo's death in 1998, Al Joyner let his late wife's storage lockers go, not realizing how many gems were still left inside.

The record-setting sprinter passed away in her sleep after suffering from an epileptic seizure.

Nezhoda previously told TMZ that he was planning to sell the golden items on eBay or to a collectible auction house if no one from the family reached out.

Al Joyner and Nezhoda struck a deal within a matter of days, and the memorabilia is now back with Flo-Jo's family.

The Bargain Hunters founder took viewers behind the scenes of his emotional interaction with Joyner on Youtube.

He told fans that although he made a smaller profit than what he originally paid for the athlete's golden items, he was happy he did the right thing by giving back the family tangible memories of Flo-Jo's historic legacy.
